When I was picking up the HTd hoppers a few weeks ago, Lee English treated me to a tour of the Bowser factory, including a demonstration of one of the new C430s. They've moved from Tsunamis to QSI sound, and the sound on the 430s is awesome - they even included the air starter. Can't wait for these to arrive!

According to an email update just sent out by Bowser, the C430s should be here in the states sometime in mid-December. Please post some pictures and comments when you receive yours. From the test shots I’ve seen, these will be very nice models and “should” have the corrected roof contour. (More details about the roof can be found in this Diesel Detailer forum post).

Just picked up my two C430s with sound. They look great. I think the sound is better on the start-up than the C630's. They really sound throaty deep chugs when stating and the starter sounds great. I like the sound of the horns, but I can't remember what the original readings sound like. I only have about 6Ft of track to run them on at home so the full out run and with a load will have to wait till I can get to the club In Coopersburg (CASME.org)Part of East Penn Model Railroad Club Inc. to fully try them out.
Check out our web videos and photo's. Come check out our open house after the holidays. Check the times and the days on our site .
Also I am again disappointed as I was with the C630's I would still like to see the classification lights work in red, green, yellow. It runs real slow on a pull out. You can really make the walk.
Overall good job Bowser.
