RdgRail...
the downtown Birdsboro building(s) are the Walthers one's. Merchant's Row I believe. It is all one structure, even though it represents several businesses.

For the Thomas sounds I used a soundtrax decoder for a small switcher type loco. It sounds good enough and if you only press #3 and get the short whistle blast, it kinda sounds like the english type that Thomas uses.

As for that install... as mentioned not too hard at all. The cab roof of Thomas comes off and there are only a couple of wires. There was a small circuit with resisters, but I couldn't see that they did anything (there is no working headlight) so I cut it out and extended the motor wires into the first coach by drilling a hole in teh back of the cab and front of the coach. Next, had to remove the weight and cut a hole in the floor of the coach for the speaker. The coach roof lifts off for access. I'll post a picture or two in a few days.
Thanks,
Barry

Barry - I really like the FM Browns Feed Mill. Now all you need is RDG 1501 through 1521 to switch the mill. As for what I accomplished this week, started the week salting roads, finished the week the same way. In between regular and part-time work, I have been updating my 1988. MDC RS-3 with new details and railings. I hope to finish it before Monday. Then some pictures will be in order. And not to forget rdgrail, you steam bashers really do some nice work!
