Ditto to Chris' well-stated comments...I didn't notice the background irregularities until you pointed them out, and even then, I had to enlarge the shots to really see what you were talking about. Your scenery and the trains draw the eye away from the backdrop.--Dave

Thanks for all the compliments, guys. It means a lot, especially coming from such accomplished modelers. Mitch and I were talking scenery via email, and I shared with him a link to one of my favorite products. It may be pretty obscure: woodlandscenics.woodlandscenics.com/show/Item/TK24/page/1
I first used the old style Woodland Scenics metal tree kits more than 30 years ago and still like them in combination with other products. The hedgerow kits work especially well to estabish tree lines along backdrops. I must have used five or six of them on my present layout and a couple on the original Merkiomen.

Yesterday I spread newspaper over the scenery and lightly sprayed Krylon flat white over the offending sections of backdrop (see above). I think it worked rather well.
