This board is the place where questions and information specific to MODELING the Reading Company, its equipment and operations can be shared - questions like "What was the window arrangement of AF Tower in Alburtis?" and "What color paint do YOU use to paint the Reading's cream-and-brown buildings?" We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

S1563andO1574I8640x383.jpg

Good Day,
Thought I would share a picture for everyone.
1563 is an Overland S scale model. Runs great. Issued in 1988 +/-, and over the years has DCC and sound installed. My home layout is still "in progress", so I run this with the North Penn S Gaugers modular set up when I can.

1574 is an O scale model built by George Stock, some time in the early 1960's as best I can piece together. It is in good running order.
I displayed this engine at the RRMM2 last year.

The cabooses, the S is also by Overland, and the O scale is by IMP.

Enjoy,

Hugh Sinn

Frank Miller, formally of Yardley PA and MASTER O Scale steam modeler borrowed a S Scale I8 and 6 months later his beautiful scratch-built I8 was running on his layout.

Franks basement in Yardley was bigger than his house! The layout was HUGE.

If I was not in S Scale I would be in O Scale.

Someone needs to make an N scale and G scale one and we could make an I-8 scale guide...
If I had the money I'd be on making a G scale one haha.
