This board is the place where questions and information specific to MODELING the Reading Company, its equipment and operations can be shared - questions like "What was the window arrangement of AF Tower in Alburtis?" and "What color paint do YOU use to paint the Reading's cream-and-brown buildings?" We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

Welcome to The Reading Modeler Forum! We hope you'll find this a welcome addition to the various online forums elsewhere on the web.

A few ground rules for the benefit of all:

Model Railroading is Fun. Please keep the discourse civil and friendly at all times. That includes the obvious warnings regarding profanities, etc., but also common courtesy such as basic respect for your fellow users. While it's certainly OK to disagree on the best approach to a particular modeling issue, let's remember that this is a HOBBY, and let's be respectful of one another's ideas and perspectives.

Thanks for your cooperation, and enjoy!

Good evening, not sure where to start; just joined forum, have been lurking for awhile. Just recently (couple of years) gotten into researching, modeling the Reading Railroad and i am totally enjoying this site. I grew up in Port Richmond about three blocks from the coal and grain docks, dut never really understood the scope of operations till recently. anyway, the amount of knowledge from this site is very appealing, since i am starting to model this line more and more.

Thank you for the invite, but prior engagements will not allow me to attend; however, it would be fascinating to see some of the models up close that i have seen here on this forum. The level of modeling talent is incredible.
