This board is the place where questions and information specific to MODELING the Reading Company, its equipment and operations can be shared - questions like "What was the window arrangement of AF Tower in Alburtis?" and "What color paint do YOU use to paint the Reading's cream-and-brown buildings?" We also want to hear about YOUR Reading modeling projects!

A sixty-four dollar question. How long is the current bridge? I am looking for the end-to-end length of the box spans.

This is not worth the electrons used to write it, but bear with me as I enjoy a chance to read (and post) on Reading Modeler once more.

Google Earth Ruler tool shows about 336 meters or 1102 feet.

I eagerly wait to hear from someone who has the exact dimensions.

Two long lost boxes of books on the Reading were found last evening.
A photo in Morning Sun's Reading Steam In Color is captioned "...986 feet long and 84 feet above the river." Now back to work on the track plan to connect Valley Jct. to the Outer Station's wye.

I looked it up in my own copy of the book and sure enough, that is what it says. Please share some photos of the bridge and connection to the Outer Station Wye when they are ready.
