TOPIC: Birdsboro Andrews trucks

Birdsboro Andrews trucks 11 months 2 weeks ago #6578

Can anyone provide some info on these trucks? Did they appear different then other andrews trucks? I have found that they were named from the foundry where they were made, Birdsboro Foundry, but I haven’t been able to find any clear pictures of them.

Any information is appreciated,

Mark

PS-these trucks were often found on a number of Northeastern cabooses.

Mark,
Birdsboro Trucks did not look anything like Andrews Trucks. They looked more like Bettendorf Trucks but with a leaf spring instead of coil springs. I've uploaded a photo I took of a Birdsboro Truck under a RDG Caboose at WK&S RR.
