What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? One Layout Design Element (LDE) I am working on currently for my own layout is the Met Ed Titus power generating facility along the Belt Line near Klapperthal Jct. This is a bituminous coal fired plant. I am wondering what hopper cars are appropriate there. I am guessing B&O or perhaps I can get away with WM, but I wouldn't exclude them being N&W on a guess. I doubt that they were sending Reading cars down for Bituminous loads. Anyone have photos circa 1974.
