TOPIC: Applying a picture to my online profile

Applying a picture to my online profile 7 years 11 months ago #5315

This a very general question. One I'm almost embarrassed to ask in today's tech society. How can I put a picture in my picture box for online forums? Should be easy but not for an old gandy dancer like myself.

I guess I'm as dumb as Bubba in Forest Gump. I followed your instructions and got as far as choosing the icon I preferred to use. How do I actually get it placed on my picture board? Thanks for your patience.

Don't be too hard on yourself...... After I sent you those instructions I decided it was time to change mine.
I went through the process - several times and it didn't look like it changed at all, so I gave up and signed off. Next time I signed on, there was the new pic. !??? So all I can say is, Hmmmmmm.

Thanks for the advice Rob. I certainly appreciate it. I've followed all the steps and have managed to save it in a folder but can't get it onto my picture frame. I've selected it and it shows the attachment number in the box. Everything looks cool but still don't know how to get it onto the Avatar. Do I select, copy, print to move it to my Avatar or am I totally missing something. I've tried this several times on different days. As much as I appreciate your advice I guess it ain't happening.

Wayne Jct Towerman, in your quest to upload, have you checked the file size of your photo. I ran into problems way back, then realized the files were too large and the site would not accept the picture. Just a thought.
