Description:
Jerry's model of the JU interlocking tower was scratchbuilt from styrene
following Reading Company plans that appeared in "Maintenance of Way Standard
Plans of the Reading Company" published by the Anthracite Railroads Historial
Society in 1980. The tower has interior detail on the upper story.

Description:
Another view of Bevis Steel Fabricators. The overhead crane is from the Walthers kit, while many of the detail parts are commercial castings that Jerry has duplicated for his own use. The level of detailing suggests an active, busy scene.

Description:
A common feature of Eastern cities during the 1st half of the 20th century was
the construction of block upon block of "row homes" for the rising middle class.
This block of row homes was based on prototypes still readily seen in Reading,
and was constructed using cardboard for the basic structure along with styrene
for the architectural trim and bay windows. Rails and posts are from Grandt
Line. Jerry remarks that it seemed to take as long to paint these buildings as
it did to build them!
