Todd...what was the name of the ice cream shoppe that was in Gordon?I remember they also had light blue trucks and they would run the streets in Minersville ringing their bells selling ice cream.

Anyway...recently modeled C424 5207 teams up with GP7 634 hauling coal past the local crew who are using a borrowed B&O SD9

A couple of close up shots of the RDG power.

Let's not forget the borrowed SD9 with the RDG caboose.

Chris, that looks fantastic. Your work captures Eastern Pennsylvania as well as I've ever seen in model form. It FEELS like home to me.

I'm curious, is that a diorama of a specific real location on the Reading, or just a generic "Coal Region" town?

Wowak...thank you.Early fall in Schuykill County was my favorite time of the year and when I finally develope a working layout that will be the theme. As for the diorama,it's a generic setting. When I do build the layout I'm hoping to incorporate some actual scenes. The Minersville station area is one that comes to mind, along with the New St. Nicholas breaker.I added the overpass because it seems almost every town had one.Places like Auburn,Cressona,Frackville,Pottsville,etc.etc.

Their milk and ice cream trucks were orange and white. They stopped making ice cream and bottling milk after Hurricane Agnes. At that time Gordon Engine Terminal was ripped up and and all operations were moved to St. Nicholas. Todd Shoffler.

Todd... I do remember their regular delivery trucks, the light blue ones I was remembering were the ones they used to sell off the street ,like the good humor man.

Anyway...I caught 3656,I did this unit at least 10 yrs. ago, leading two WM sd's bringing soft coal up from Hagarstown. The WM units are factory painted,I added the weathering.

A closer look at the road power.

On this day we found a nice new wide vision bringing up the rear.I finished 94108 a couple of days before Christmas.I still need to add the wipers on the coupula windows and some weathering .
