There is a lot of Grace Mine stuff going on and I am curious... All the photos I have of HTe class hoppers just happen to have the ORE SERVICE stencil in the upper left..... Did the whole class of 200 cars have it?

And with HTd...If anyone has a photo of 41615 check it close.. I have an RCT&HS "company" photo (MC153 HT4) What just looked like a repaneled top end, upon closer examination looks like it has a tarp on it with support ribs and tie-downs, similar to, but not as pronounced as the HTwa sugar beet cars..... Any history? I cannot read very small stenciling above the reporting marks and it appears to be a small yellow square with info on the A end panel (not a full color panel like the HTwa's blue end.)

Rob - I believe that all of the HTe hoppers were indeed labeled for Ore Service. As far as the HTd car, check the Bossler book. These cars had several types of covers for shipping limestone in winter.

Since the RDG SD45's had two control stands I was wondering what the seating arrangement was like inside the cab of the units?
