What's the difference between a GP40-2 and GP39-2? What year did the Reading dieselize? How many tracks were in Rutherford Yard? This board focuses on a discussion of questions or issues concerning the "prototype" Reading Company and its predecessors. While the aim of this board is to serve as a resource for prototype information for modeling purposes, general discussion and sharing of knowledge is also encouraged.

A few recent shots of old St. Nick colliery, sad to say some of it has been razed, alongside a 4600, and the gantry and boom of a Marion, along with a coal vein that went through the breaker lead, Bill.

Here's some upgraded scans of stuff I had in the photo albums.. just 2 weeks after CR, but still interesting. I can email them as well to anyone interested for personal use. I am just finally mastering the ScanGear software I got with my scanner 5 years ago!

Is that the same one referred to as New St Nick, near Minersville?

I believe that's the original St.Nick breaker which the New St.Nick near Minersville replaced. The New St.Nick was dismantled, not sure the date, and I smaller breaker was erected on the same site.

Chris, I think your right about the New St. Nick breaker. Somewhere I may have a pic or two of new St. Nick, around 2002, but now may have to take a ride out by Wadesville to see what is now there.
