Off 3 weeks for vacation and holiday time, so I have time to work on stuff...
decided I was going to expand my staging yard and add a second yard above the existing one. However, grades and having only 6-7" between levels makes the lower yard unworkable... friend came up with a good idea to expand the yard where my dispatcher panel is/was. Have it framed in and another friend has some homasote for me to cover the area. I have a line on some Atlas turnouts for a very good price and have to pick-up some flex track. Should have it finished in time for my next OPS session at the end of January.

Also have some turnout motors to fix and who knows what else I may tackle...

update on the staging yard expansion...

It's a new year and here's the first train of the year to use the only/first track that is available. Turnouts get purchased next week and should be installed soon after that.

also - did fix those turnout motors last night...

Taking the paint off a Bowser 100 ton PRR hopper, the only thing more fun is taking the paint off a Conrail model..........
