Laid out the footprints of the Reading roundhouse and turntable on a sheet of 1" plywood today as Walthers has advanced its delivery date of their new 110' table from July to late fourth quarter. While the model is ten feet longer than the prototype's 100', the extra length comes in handy as the model T-1, K-1 and N-1 locos are not as close coupled as the prototype locos. Was going to scratch the table but the ready-to-run one, even with different bridge panels, won out.

Good thinking about that extra space. I was always a stickler that I was doing 100 footer and was always miffed over the 90 & 110 lengths of the commercially available pits. Maybe I better get the HO yardstick out and measure those mallets and T-1's. :) Can't be dragging the pilot truck around the outside of the pit as you're turning it.
