What a beautiful locomotive. You should feel good about running her down the Main. Classic Reddin.

This week I put a TCS wow sound system in my old yellow box atlas Reading RS3. I followed the article in Model Railroader. To my supprise it worked. Now I just have to play around with tweaking the speed steps. I also realized I never placed the right horns on the model and the yellow safety paint on the hand rails. I love the alco chugging when it pulls out.

Have not done much of anything in a while modeling wise. So I decided to take a crack at the CMW 60's Ford truck. Started out with a Santa Fe logo that I improved upon!

Decals are homemade on the computer.

Sounds, no pun intended, like you did a great job. The real locomotive comes to life. Only thing missing is the smell of the diesel engine and the smell of the brake shoes.

While visiting my son and family in Roseville CA, visited Uncle Pete's (ex-"eeS Pee") Roseville Yard, Railroad Hobbies and had time to come up with a scheme to power the stall leads in the turntables's dead zone. If the scheme does not work, the stalls in the dead zone will have spare tenders stored in them. The sheet of plywood will be cut to allow the roundhouse area to be removable so it can be built on the bench. A friend did this for his Green River, Wyoming (U.P. again.) roundhouse and turntable; his engine facility is detailed to the nines without incurring a sore neck, back and arms. The roundhouse base sheet was laid and marked for the vertical posts then 128 holes drilled and pinned to receive the posts.

The Reading is devastated by Hurricane Agnes; washouts and damage across the system require significant effort to repair, and also hasten the abandonment of marginal branches.
