Good Day to all,
Well, Thanksgiving week I took off to do fall chores, and to work on the layout, fix some models, etc...

But, I just did not like how things had progressed, and where running.
Roadbed gave problems, the 3rd time reused turnouts, gave problems, and my passing siding was not long enough. Tore it all down. Redo.
New track, new turnouts, and different roadbed.
Finished up the main loop this weekend.

My sixty year old George Stock built I8 did the honors of the first run.

Enjoy,
Hugh

George Stock - Now there's a name from the past. Is this O scale or the "Perfect" scale? From all appearances Thanksgiving week was well spent. Look forward to hearing more of your road.

This model is O scale.
George Stock was a pioneer in HO in the 1940-1950 time frame, but his shop did commission builds.
I hope to post a short video latter.

Thanks for sharing the video, Hugh. It's a beautiful model, a great historical piece, and it runs well! Back in the early '80s I saw a George Stock I8 in HO at the old Henning Scale models in Lansdale (now Lin's Junction). The detail was a bit rougher than what's on your O scale model, and it was probably from an earlier era ('30s or 40s).

George authored Model Railroader's first HO article in the April 1934 issue in which he showcased his Diminutive and Obstinate Railroad. His scratchbuilt motive power on this pioneer layout was all PRR -- an A5, a K4, and an O1 electric.
