Image information
The concrete coaling tower at Gordon fed the T-1, K-1 and N-1 steam locomotives that once frequented the Mahanoy and Shamokin branch. Mark has constructed this model with a wood shell to which all the required details will be added. Realistic dimensions were obtained using photos in published reference works, and carboard mockups were built. Once satisifed with the overall appearance, the cardboard mockups were transferred to plywood. The detail parts are from Tichy, and the structure will be covered in fine-grit sandpaper, painted aged concrete and weathered.
